My Passion Project
Organizations struggle to foster inclusive cultures or address a lack of transparency. Building diverse and equitable workplaces is only possible by identifying target areas and blind spots that organizations may not be prepared to identify processes preventing inclusivity or transparency. Inclusive cultures that drive innovation, foster transparency, and seek equal accountability with merit-based outcomes are critical to the success of individuals and organizations.
We all benefit from diverse voices and perspectives, yet when faced with intentional or unconscious biases, it can create barriers like the Bamboo Ceiling. My experiences have been shaped by encounters with various forms of bias, fueling my passion to create a more inclusive environment for everyone. By understanding how these barriers work, we can all become better allies and champions for inclusivity.
With successes as a writer and a director and having experienced these personally, I wanted to bring awareness to what people of color, sexuality, and national origin face every day.
